Vitamins

in random on December 24, 2008 at 2:17 am 207 words

I’ve blogged before about my sons strange eating habits. He’s very picky. Always has been. I can literally count on my hands the things he will eat and drink. If you try to feed him anything else he gags until he throws up. We have tried everything to change this. One Doctor told us to starve him until he ate something new. That does not work. I tried it for one day and it just made him worse. By that night he didn;t want to eat at all. I had to beg him to eat pizza. ( That’s the main thing he will eat. ) Finally my favorite pediatrician said it’s something that we can’t control. We can’t shove food down his throat. And you can’t force a child to swallow something when they’re gagging and vomiting. I worry about his health because he doesn’t eat any meat or vegetables. He does eat cheese and drink milk though. My main problem right now is trying to get him to take vitamins. He just won’t swallow those either. Tonight I got some infant liquid vitamins. When he was a toddler I used to put them in his bottle. I’m hoping I can still hide it in his milk.

Buying clothes

My Mother and I were at the mall forever tonight. While in Macy’s and Sears we were looking around for some warm sweatshirts for Ryan. Ryan is super skinny and bony so he gets cold easily. That’s why I like to dress him warmly for school. I noticed if he wears a regular sweatshirt he’ll keep it on. If it’s a zip up he takes it off. It’s wait too cold this time of year for that. Even in school.

Of course all we could find for sale was zip up sweatshirts. And a whole ton of really ugly sweaters. Parents these days dress their children so geeky. I can’t believe it when I go into school or bday parties. Last year I was at Ryan’s best friends bday party and I was in shock at the way some of those kids were dressed. there was actually a little boy– the chubbiest in the class. His Mother had him in a sideways striped RAINBOW sweater with cordoroys. The poor kid. Why would a Mother be that cruel?

At the time Ryan had really long hair. he said people made fun of it. All I could think was people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Most of those kids parents dress them like Leave It To Beaver.

A carefree Winter escape.

Christmas time is the most stressful time of the year for a lot of people. The stress of the Holidays can bring people to do things they normally wouldn’t. Over eating and excessive drinking of alcohol are just two of the common things common around the Holidays. Not to mention Depression and weight gain. Everyone is so stressed out about family and gifts the season can totally drain them.

This is why I think getting away on a vacation at Christmas time is such a great idea. Imagine being able to just relax in a hotel room and not have to worry about all the stresses of Christmas? You could actually enjoy celebrating it!

I want to go spend my Christmas in Branson MI. Just me, my Boyfriend and my son away for Christmas. The Hilton Hotels in Branson are absolutely gorgeous. It’s in a great place too. I stayed at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing a few months ago with my Boyfriend. We had a wonderful time! My favorite part of it was all the shopping. There’s tons of shops and boutiques. There’s a lot of restaurants too. My Boyfriend and I had a wonderful dinner before going to watch the famous lighted water fountain. It was so cool! The fountain even had a light and fire display choreographed to music.

I think next time we’re going to stay at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. I want to see the Annual Ice Carving! Right now theres a Winter Escape Package at both the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotels. So it’s definitely an affordable time to take the trip.

Being sick is really starting to piss me off. I had to wear glasses around the mall tonight so people couldn’t see how gross my eye looks because of pink eye. I was getting strange looks. Who wears sunglasses at night time in dead of winter?

I’ve also almost completely lost my voice. Figures! Just in time for Christmas. :(
