Brat Attack

in random on January 29, 2009 at 6:43 pm 111 words

Ryan has been in one rotten mood ever since he got home from school. I’m about to ground him from his computer if he keeps it up. He’s swearing at me and everything. :(

This is what happens when he won’t go to bed and doesn’t get enough sleep. He acts like a jerk all the next day!

Yesterday he lost an other tooth.

I got a letter from his school saying he doesn’t need to be in the extra reading class anymore. He’s reading better than the majority of the kids in his grade now so the class did pay off. I was glad to hear that.

Naruto Manga

As most of you know I’ve been watching the anime Naruto ever since it first aired in Japan when I was about 18. I used to download it every week as soon as it was released. Lately I have fallen behind. My son still watches every episode but sometimes I just don’t have the time. Instead of watching all the episodes I think I’m finally going to give in and just start reading the Naruto Manga. My fiance reads it all the time and says it’s better. The Manga is way ahead of the anime anyway. My son wants to read it too. He can’t stand waiting for the new episodes. I’ll probably download the Manga Reader tonight and catch up if I have time after I make dinner.

My son’s obsessed with Sasuke. He thinks he’s the best character ever. I’ve always likes Tsunade best. She’s awesome. I was glad when she became the fifth Hokage. My favorite episode is still Sannin Showdown. I loved when she pounded the crap out of Orochimaru! She rocks. :)

Finally!

Ryan’s finally asleep. I thought he’d never go to sleep tonight. Around 10 i got him to lay down with his stuffed sea animals. Now everyday when he leaves for school he tells me I have to feed them wash them and brush them while he’s gone. God forbid I have a few hours to myself to get anything done, right?

I’m about to go play some WOW with Justin. I’ve been excited about getting to 70 all day.

Tommorrow I’ve got so much to do. Laundry’s been piling up. I also have to clean and vacum my room. Ryan has cheeze it crumbs everywhere. The last thing I need is Mice back up here again.

My Grandpa’s been helping a lot with cleaning the other rooms up here. He gets bored and cleans all morning when he isn’t watching TV. I’m really glad he moved in. It’s nice to see him again.

Videos

I love to embed videos in my blog posts that are related to the topic I’m posting about. It helps bring readers by giving them something entertaining to look at. Some videos also explain the subject I’m blogging about in ways I can’t describe in words. Normally I have to take the time to upload videos to the place I host themand then put them in my blog. It takes up tons of time and space I don’t have. Or I spend even more time looking through an other very popular site that’s filled with lots of crap before I find what I am searching for. Now thanks to the Amy Poehler CozmoTV player adding videos to my blog has become so much easier! It’s super easy to use it to embed videos right in your posts or even in your sidebars. You can even embed them on Myspace and facebook! There is even a gallery you can easily search through to find videos to post to your blog or Myspace or facebook and probably even Livejournal. It seems like it will even work on sites that don’t allow embedding of videos from that other popular website! Anyone who has a blog should definitely go check it out. You can get your own widget here.

Big Love

in random on January 27, 2009 at 11:23 pm 312 words

I watched the first two episodes of the new season of HBO’s "Big Love" yesterday. I’ve been watching this series going on three years now and to be completely honest I still can’t tell if I even like it! The whole polygamy thing is just weird. I don’t understand how people can do that. I could never share my husband with other women. I’d go crazy jealous and beat them to death. It’s even weirder this season because they’re pursuing a fourth wife TOGETHER as a family. It isn’t just bill running around. The entire family, including the children are going along on the "dates" with this new woman. Could you imagine dating a family? Marrying a man who already has three wives?

Margene especially confuses me. She isn’t even Mormon. ( I know "true" Mormons aka LDS don’t follow polygamy, I’m not talking about LDS here. I’m talking about the polygamist Mormons on this telivision show so I’d appreciate not being flamed. ) She was catholic and seems to know nothing about the religion they’re following at all. Nicky is into the whole thing because she grew up on a polygamist compound where her Dad was the prophet. Barb originally let her husband take on a second wife because she got cancer and lost her ability to have children. Her husband borrowed the money for her treatment from the prophet on the compound he grew up in, ( Nicky’s Dad ) and in turn the Prophet asked he marry one of his 30+ daughters. So barb and Nicky now follow the belief on growing their family for the afterlife. Margene on the other hand was just the young babysitter. Why is she doing it again? And this new woman is from europe. She isn’t religious at all! I don’t understand why she’d want to be anywhere near that mess.

A Winter Escape

in random on January 27, 2009 at 11:04 pm 206 words

A few days ago I blogged about how my fiance and I were considering spending Valentines Day in Branson. I was really excited. My Mom ended up having to take a shift at work on Valentines Day so we won’t be able to make it after all. We can go the weekend after however. So our Valentines Day trip has now become a winter escape instead! Hilton even has a Hilton Branson Escape Package. This should be really fun. I can’t wait to go swimming in the indoor pool. It will be a nice break from this freezing boring winter. We’ll probably go shopping and swimming all day. Maybe we’ll even take the river walk. What I’m most looking forward to is Hiltons complimentary movie and drinks for two. My fiance and I will finally get some time together. The complimentary breakfast will be great as well. The best part is even with that included the package is still only 79.99! So much cheaper than our hotel we stayed at in Boston. Nothing there was free. We spent over 200$ on staying one night and eating dinner and having a few glasses of champagne. This trip will definitely be much better. I’mexcited! Can’t wait to go.

Peanut Butter Scare

in random on January 27, 2009 at 8:26 pm 156 words

As most of you know already, my son is a very picky eater. I can probably count on one hand the number of things he’ll actually eat. He’s always been that way. If you try to make him eat anything else he’ll gag and throw up. His favorite snack has always been nutter butters. Those little peanut butter cookies. Ever since the salmonilla outbreak in peanut butter cookies I’ve been afraid to let him eat them. Salmonilla can kill people. He got E.coli last summer from swimming in a Pond when we were on vacation and he got really sick. I never want to see him sick like that again.

What I don’t understand is why is the FDA and government allowing all these outbreaks to happen? You’d think something as important as FOOD would be watched much more carefully. It’s a sad world when you don’t even know if it’s safe to eat anymore.
