One of my best friends is having her baby shower next weekend. She’s having her first little girl. I’ve been thinking of what I should get her for a present. Since it’s such a cold winter I think I’m going to get her some blankets with the baby’s name custom embroidered on them. Along with some diapers and baby detergent since those things are so expensive. With all the snow we’ve been getting this winter it isn’t uncommon to lose power and heat for the night. Babies get cold so easilly. I think the blankets could be really useful. Plus everyone likes personalized baby gifts. I’ll get her a pink one, a purple one and a yellow one so she can have an extra blanket to match all her crib sets she got for Christmas!

Ryan started leveling his 64 Mage on World of Warcraft all by himself today. He got a group for an instance and everything. I was suprised he could actually type well enough for everyone to understand him or play well enough for people not to notice he’s only six.

He’s all of a sudden obsessed with matchbox cars. He came home from school the other day asking where all his match box cars went. I put them in a box over a year ago because he never played with them. My grandfather got them for him today and he’s been playing with them ever since.

He hit me off the back of the head with one by accident earlier and it hurt! I was pretty angry. I hate how kids always fling things across the room like that. It’s dangerous.

It’s hard to find good product review sites. I like to look at customer reviews and ratings before I buy something, especially with the little bit of money I have these days. A lot of review sites have a bad community of angry people. As well as low moderation so people just run rampant.

However I found a good site for reviews, it’s ProductReview.com.au! It is a review site for Australians, however I live in the US and I use it just fine. The site reviews are all mostly australian but the products are sold here as well. The community is really friendly and give good reviews. Much better than us Americans.

The site is easy to read at first, the layout is easy on the eyes. As soon as you go in you will see a featured product, if you know anything about this you can rate it. On the sidebar is a list of categories to find a review for just about anything you are looking for. Click on something you are looking to buy and see it’s overall rating, then read through some of the comments to get an idea on why it’s so great, or why it has a low score. I’m surprised how much better my son has gotten at reading and spelling. He was typing to his Dad in an instant messege all my himself the other day for a half hour. He could read everything he said too. Just recently he could barely read anything. Now he can read almost everything.

He’s starting to bring home books that are a lot more dificult from the library as well. Last week he came home with a book calld frog and Toad. It even had chapters! It was actually a really cute story.

I’m glad he’s having an easy time reading now. I loved reading when I was a little kid. I was even in advanced english classes where we read extra books. I hope he starts to enjoy it more too. Plus now I don’t have to read all his games for him!

Valentines day is almost here! I’ve been waiting for it all year. I really want to go away for a few days with my fiance. We’re still deciding on where to go. We stayed at a Hotel in Boston when he came to visit me for Thanksgiving. We had a lot of fun. It’s great having time alone in a beautiful Hotel. I’d really like to do the same thing somewhere else for Valentines day. A friend of ours lives in Missouri. Maybe we’ll go up and visit him and his girlfriend for the holiday. We could always stay at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. I’ve heard that that Hotel is beautiful. Plus they have a Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel Package! There’s tons of things to do in Branson as well. We could have dinner at the Liberty Tavern. It’s a really nice tavern! I’ve always wanted to eat there. I think my fiance would love it too. After that we could go swimming. They have a beautiful pool. Then my fiance and I could spend some time alone. The rooms are amazing. Maybe we’ll even get a Suite. I definitely want a room with a King size bed. they’re so comfortable!

Ryan gave me a cold again. This has to be the third time since November. My immune system stinks so I always catch everything. Back when I was in school I constantly had some kind of cold or sinus infection. In seventh grade I had a sinus infection that lasted the entire school year. I always figured it would be over once I left school. How wrong was I? Now my son just brings everything home! Most of the time he’ll just get the sniffles and I’ll end up with the flu. It really stinks. I even take vitamins and drink a lot of juice and eat tons of vegetables. Nothing seems to help. My cousin keeps telling me to try those vitamins called “airborn” or something. I guess they were invented by a school teacher to build up immune systems.
