My son and I live with my Grandmother. She’s over 60 years old and she suffers from bad Rhumatoid arthritis. She has problems getting upstairs to take a shower. When we redo the bathroom downstairs I think I’m going to get one of those walk in bath tubs put in there. It would be a lot easier and safer for her. I don’t want there to be any risk of her falling in the shower or walking up the stairs. The elderly falling in their own home is a leading cause of death. It’s hard for older people to heal from falls. Plus she shouldn’t have to struggle up the stairs to bathe. A bath would be much more comfortable then standing up in the shower.
