I spent the majority of today outside by the pool. My son had my little cousin come over to play with. They didn’t swim for long though. Today was one of the first nice days we have had here in Massachusetts all summer. The weather here has been very strange. Cold and rainy. usually it’s 90-100 here this time of year.

Because of the weather the pool has been really cold. I can’t stand to swim in the cold water. Ryan can’t either. I hope we get some nice weather this summer so it has a chance to warm up.

A lot of my friends have older children who are starting to reach puberty. They’re horrified at the thought of their young children using the family computer to look up porn. With the way the internet is now they have a chance of running into it everywhere. I always tell them they need an internet filter to block out pornography. Pornography can be very harmful to any computer. It’s loaded with virus’s and spyware. Even filters don’t always block out all pornography! That’s why I use a porn detection tool by SurfRecon to detect porn on my computer. You’d be surprised at what you find. Sometimes your browser can download porn without you even knowing it. I really can’t stand the way my Mother babies my son. It’s getting ridiculous. He’s seven years old and will not go to sleep alone. You literally have to lie down with him until he falls asleep every single night or he won’t go to sleep.

So tonight I told him that I had to Raid on WOW at 10. So if he wanted me to lie down with him he had to go to sleep before 10. He wouldn’t. Instead he insisted he’d go sleep downstairs with my Mother when he wanted to go to sleep.

Instead at 12.. just when I was about to go run OS with my guild he starts throwing a fit telling me to lie down with him. I told him that he had to wait until I was finished. So what does he do? He goes and cries to my Mother so she starts screaming at me to put him to bed.

He is seven years old I shouldn’t HAVE to put him to bed. I was in the same room. Why would he possibly be afraid?

I really wish the cost of living wasn’t rediculous here so i didn’t have to live with her. Then maybe my kid would actually listen to me once in a while. Every time I try to put my foot down she just screams at me. So now he thinks I have no authority and can’t tell him what to do.

I also wish his Dad wasn’t a POS who’s never paid child support in his life and abandons his kid to move across the country to live with some Mormon who is twice his age and her daughter.

My Dad has always really wanted a Rolex watch. His birthday is coming up soon and a few family members and I are thinking about all pitching in and getting him one. Last year I got him season 1 and 2 of Deadwood. Then for Christmas i got him season 3. he really loved that series. This year I want to get him something more personal than DVD’s. A watch is something he can keep forever. Maybe I’ll even get it engraved for him.

Now I just need to get people to pitch in for the gift! I know my Mom will. Maybe my Grandmother will want to as well. I’ve been really low on money since I started getting ready to move. With the economy how it is it seems everyone else is too. So they’ll probably rather all pitch in for one nice gift instead of all of us getting him some cheap gifts that he won’t even use.

My best friend is a terrible driver. She’s had her license for maybe 3 years and has already demolished multiple cars. I try to avoid going anywhere with her at all costs. Especially is she’s taking the highway. Seriously every single time I’ve driven with her she almost gets in an accident.

Well it seems she just did it again! Now she is looking for a place to repair her car at a good price. Somewhere that does auto body repair. I told her to check out auto body shop anaheim. They’re suposedly really good!

My son is doing way better in Karate than I assumed he would. I figured since he was only 7 that he’s have a hard time. Turns out he’s already a yellow belt and everything.

I think Karate is the best thing I’ve ever gotten him into. He comes home much more relaxed, he’s less angry, and just overall in a better mood.

His behavior has improved very much since the end of school.

He’s also matured a lot. When I came back from my 10 day vacation in Ohio he was like a totally different child.
