Ryan had his yearly physical yesterday. He ended up also having to get two shots. A chicken pox booster ( which now raises chicken pox immunity to 99% instead of 65-70% ) and a flu shot. Since it’s his first year getting the flu shot he has to go back in a month and get a second.

I also need to ask his doctor about the pneumonia vaccine. Last year we both got pneumonia and it really sucked.

Wednesday he has an appointment for an EKG to see if he has those silent seizures. His Dr doesn’t think he does but he wants to make sure since the school asked for the test last year. I have to keep Ryan up all night so he can sleep during it, and the appointment isn’t until noon. That’s going to be a pain.

I’ve always had a terrible time trying to get my son to eat healthy. Even though Ryan’s eating problems are a little more severe it doesn’t mean I’m alone. Most parents have problems trying to get their kids to eat certain foods. I’ve been browsing around youtube looking for some tips to make feeding children healthy a little easier, and I came across these videos. Kids aren’t that smart – Bars. They’re good!

Ryan started second grade today!!!! He was so excited. He woke up at 5 AM because he couldn’t wait to go to school. This makes me really happy. The past two years he absolutely hated school. He always would try to stay home or come home early, hated doing work, etc. Last year especially since he had the teacher from hell.

This year his teacher seems really nice. She’s young too. The only thing that sucks is his best friend isn’t in his class this year. He was in first grade and Kindergarten.

I really hope this year continues like this.
