Night Owl

in random on October 14, 2009 at 9:30 am 152 words

My sleep is so messed up right now. With Ryan being sick for 4 nights I couldn’t sleep at ALL. All night long he had a fever. I kept having to give him Motrin and Tylenol every 4 hours, alternating between them. And as soon as I’d finally doze off he’d wake me up. He talks in his sleep and sleepwalks. And with the fever it was worse than ever.

Now I can’t seem to get my sleeping schedule back on track. I’ve always been somewhat of a night owl. It’s partly why I had such trouble in school when I was a kid. It sucks. I end up napping in the strangest times and then being up all hours of the night.

I should probably get an hour or two of sleep in before Ryan gets home from school. I slept a total of 30 minutes last night.

H1N1 Vaccine

in random on October 14, 2009 at 9:02 am 191 words

It really scares me how many people want to get the H1N1 Vaccine for their children. The fact that so many people let the media scare them severely enough to get something that’s barely been tested shot into their children’s veins is. baffling. Are parents really that much of sheep?

It reminds me of a few years ago when some small hick town in the middle of nowhere thought that they were going to be attacked by terrorists “next” and it was all over the news. All the people preparing. Everyone frightened that they were going to be attacked by some disease or bomb. WHY would anyone attack some random small town that has nothing to do with anything?

I don’t get people anymore. I don’t like how stupid this country has become.

I suggest that if you’re one of those parents who is planning to get this vaccine for your child you should do a little reading on the subject first. A simple google even. Just PLEASE know the risks before getting this for your children. They depend on you to make important decisions for them.

Blah

It’s been over a month now and I still haven’t updated about this. I think I was trying to let myself cool down as not to completely outright bash my ex on a public blog. So here goes me being civil.

As most of you know my sons Dad moved away just after my sons fifth birthday. He met a woman on World Of Warcraft. She was almost 40. He was about 25. She was Mormon. He was a drunk with no job. Despite all of this he ended up moving out there and leaving Ryan. His son who he had spent nearly every day with since the kid was born. He told Ryan he would be back in 3 weeks. The next time Ryan saw him was over a year and a half later. And he brought his new “family” for the “vacation”.

After that he moved back here once temporarily for 2 months when they were fighting. He told Ryan he was back for good just to move back 2 months later again telling him ” I’m only moving back out there for 3 months”. Well now he’s married. He isn’t ever coming back.

He doesn’t even talk to Ryan barely at all. And when he does I want to punch his face in. He does things like send him videos of his wedding, or videos of his puppies. Or videos of him and his new family. I personally think it’s CRUEL.

“Look at my new puppies and my perfect family I abandoned you for” “oh I didn’t apologize for never coming back and lying to you and abandoning you twice? well here, watch me raise my wifes daughter instead of you”.

Now of course he doesn’t outright say that. But it’s what he’s doing. I hate it. I hate HIM.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

in random on October 14, 2009 at 7:33 am 235 words

Breast cancer is one of those things that has most likely effected each and every woman in one way or an other. It kills 41,116 women a year. There’s also countless survivors who have treated it and managed to live on.

This month is breast cancer awareness month. I’m sure a lot of you have already bought some of the pink hats, pins, visors, and jewelry all over your local clothing stores to donate some money to help treat and study this terrible deadly disease. But not enough women know that there are other ways available too.

C’Elle Breast Cancer Donation is now partnering with the National Institutes of Health. They are exploring stem cells collected from menstrual fluid to see if it can help treat and combat breast cancer! A ton of stem cells can be collected from menstrual blood, and many experts believe it will be the new frontier in diagnostic and regenerative medicine!

This month Cryo-Cell Breast Cancer Donation will contribute $50 for each purchase of the “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” service and $25 for each purchase of the “C’elle Menstrual Stem Cell” service. So this is a wonderful time to start looking into cryo-cell and stem cell research. You can not only harvest your own stem cells for use for you in the future but also be helping breast cancer research at the same time!
