A new pet

It’s been well over a year now since I had to put my cat down. She was really old and got sick and ended up going crazy. It was so hard for me to do. I got her as a kitten when I was only 15. Her Mother was a wild feral cat that had got stuck in the basement of the bar my Mother worked in and gave birth to kittens then abandoned them. When I got my kitty she was wild. It took months for her to even go near any of us. She lived in my closet and I had to put a cat box in there and feed her in there and everything. Eventually she warmed up though and became less frightened. And she turned out to be the most loving cat I’ve ever had. Although she would still hide if there were strangers around. And she lived her whole life upstairs afraid to go downstairs.

Ever since we had to put her down my son has been asking for a new pet. Preferably a cat though lately he’s been asking for a dog as well. I’m thinking that maybe we should adopt a pet once we move into the new house. I think he would really like that. Plus there’s so many cats and dogs out there that need homes.

Petango.com – Adopt a cat! is where I’ve been searching. This site is awesome. You can search by city state or zip. You can also search shelters in your area the same way! I really want a black cat this time. Hopefully I can get one soon. It would make my son really happy. he’s still sad about losing our old cat.

Sleepovers?

My sons friend asked him to sleep over tonight. I’ve been dreading this question for a long time now. I had to say no and felt really bad. There’s no way Ryan can possibly sleep anywhere with how he’s been. He’s afraid to go to sleep by himself for one. He even asks people to stand outside the bathroom when he has to go. A few weeks ago when he was over my aunts he wet his pants because he was embarassed to ask her to walk him to the bathroom but also too afraid to go by himself since all the kids were playing downstairs and the bathroom was upstairs. I really hope he can get over this soon. He should be better once we move into the new house I’m hoping.

I should call his friends Mom tomorrow and explain why I said no. I feel really bad about it.

About Hosting

Since I’ve been slacking off on Entrecard lately I ended up dropping on 300 blogs tonight. This is something that shouldn’t take much time at all. Especially with the toolbar. Sadly however it ends up taking forever because some blogs load extremely slow. It also doesn’t help that my cable here isn’t the fastest. It should be better once the new house is done and I can finally move.

I personally think that a good host is the best investment any website or blog owner can make. If your website loads quickly and correctly all the time you’re more likely to have regular visitors and readers. It throws people off if every time they visit your site there are images and posts that fail to load.

Good web site hosting doesn’t have to be expensive either. There are plenty out there with completely fair prices. And sites like Webhostinggeeks.com make it that much easier to find just what you’re looking for. They show the top ten rated hosts and even offer categories such as “best budget web hosting”, “best blog web hosting”, “best reseller web hosting, etc.

It’s seriously something worth looking into if you’re into blogging or own your own website.
